The (Seven) hills are alive…

…to the sound of music! From jazz legends
and rock to Italian pop and Latin icons, it’s
a month of standout performances at the
capital’s top venues.

March offers an exceptionally vibrant program for music lovers, with a rich calendar of live performances spanning genres and styles.

Most of the concerts take place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica one of the capital’s leading venues for major live events. Here, the month opens on March 6 with legendary French progressive rock band Magma. On March 23, jazz-fusion guitar virtuoso Lee Ritenour returns to the stage. Known for his versatility and long, influential career, and nicknamed “Captain Fingers” for his technical brilliance, Ritenour began playing at age eight and was already recording professionally by sixteen. Over the years he has collaborated with artists including Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Herbie Hancock, and Sonny Rollins. On the same day, in another hall within the Auditorium complex, saxophonist Chris Potter performs alongside The Bad Plus and Craig Taborn, promising a compelling blend of swing, freedom, and melodic invention.

Latin music fans should not miss Cuban guitarist and Buena Vista Social Club star Compay Segundo, playing live at Teatro Brancaccio on March 22, while those interested in Italian pop can look to the Palazzo dello Sport’s busy program of national and regional stars, including acclaimed singer Giorgia, performing on March 16.

Among the month’s standout Italian events is Angelina Mango, winner of the Sanremo Festival 2024, who will appear at the Auditorium Conciliazione on March 4.
